Razer, the company known for designing all kinds of devices and peripherals for gamers, has just launched a revamped version of its Nabu fitness wristband. On this occasion, the company has named this new smartband Razer Nabu X. Like the rest of the smart bracelets that dominate the wearables market, this smart bracelet is intended to quantify your daily activity and help you manage the notifications you receive on your smartphone.
Roughly speaking, the main difference between the new Nabu X and the old Nabu is the removal of its OLED display to make way for a bracelet equipped with three LED lights. Every time you receive a notification on your cell phone, your Razer Nabu X will vibrate and then the LEDs will light up in customizable colors.
Tri-color LED
Thanks to the red, green and blue colors integrated in this smartband, you will know the type of notification you are receiving on your smartphone. Depending on the type of incoming notification, whether it is a call, a message or the achievement of a goal, one or the other will light up with its consequent vibration, fully adjustable in terms of intensity.
The purpose of wearing this futuristic bracelet on your wrist is to keep you active and for this it has a number of features that will motivate you to move in your day to day and among which are: the number of steps you take, the distance traveled, the number of calories burned, hours of sleep, minutes of activity and the achievement of goals.
The social part of the Razer Nabu X comes through the integration of the pioneering Pulse technology, allowing communication between the firm's devices as long as they are within range of a defined distance. For example, if you bump hands with another user wearing a Nabu device you can exchange your Twitter or Facebook contact details and, at the same time, share or compare activity data.
Autonomy and water resistance
The Razer Nabu X activity tracker has a battery life of between five days and a week, depending on whether use is moderate or intensive. Moreover, this smartband has the IP67 certification protocol, which makes it waterproof up to one meter deep so you can swim with it in the pool.
It is compatible with all cell phones with Android 43 operating system or higher and with iPhones from model 5 and you can configure if you download the Nabu X Utility application from Google Play. The strap is one size fits all and is available in black and white. For its part, the sensor module is fully removable.
You can buy it through Razer's official website at a price of ?49.99, to which you will have to add another ?23.38 for shipping and handling.
