The Garmin company is once again focusing its attention on such an attractive segment as wearables, but this time with an activity bracelet designed for children. The Vívofit jr is a fitness tracker focused on the smallest of the house in order to awaken in them healthy habits, by performing specific tasks and a system of rewards or prizes once they have completed them.

This new wearable, exclusively for children, encourages them to stay active, while helping them to complete a series of tasks assigned by their parents. Thanks to an app -available for Android and iOS- moms and dads can monitor from their mobile device the number of steps, minutes of activity, how many hours they have slept, assign tasks to their children and even give them virtual rewards.

Brushing teeth or making the bed

Likewise, the innovative Garmin Vívofit jr. allows parents to assign tasks to the youngest members of the household from the application downloaded on their cell phone. In this way, children can see directly on their wrist if they have any new task such as brushing their teeth or making the bed, as well as its periodicity since the tasks are programmable to be repeated daily or weekly.

Similarly, it is also possible to set a task timer, so the gadget will remind them when they are running out of time to finish homework or get dressed. The wearable automatically synchronizes with the parents' smartphone, so that they have up-to-date information on the tasks performed by their children at all times.

Virtual rewards

One of the main added benefits of this activity monitor is that it makes it easy to reward and motivate children. When the youngest members of the household reach their daily 60-minute activity goals, the Garmin vívofit jr. activity tracker unlocks levels in a kind of interactive adventure that motivates kids to do their best every day.

As they complete the assigned tasks, children earn virtual coins that they can accumulate and exchange for rewards previously agreed with their parents , such as staying thirty minutes longer watching TV or having a friend come over to sleep at their house.

Attractive, modern and comfortable design

Being an activity bracelet intended for children, its design is attractive, modern, comfortable and water resistant. Made in a single piece, the wearable is extremely easy to put on and take off. And so that they can wear it anywhere and anytime, from playtime to the pool, the Garmin Vívofit jr. is available in different, fun and attractive designs.

As for the section on its autonomy, this activity monitor for children has a battery whose estimated life is approximately one year, so you will not have to worry about recharging it. The Garmin Vívofit jr. bracelet is sold in three colors: red, green and a floral print; it is priced at 99.99 euros, while the interchangeable bracelets cost 19.99 euros.
