Berna Angulo

Berna Angulo, triathlete of the MADE4SPORT Zierbena TRI team has gone through a marathon of surgeries before participating yesterday in her first triathlon without fibulae. He only has tibiae in the lower part of his legs. The other two bones were used by surgeons to reconstruct his jaw, fractured in an accident in 2008. Angulo's is an example of overcoming: two years of operations without even professional psychological help. It all ended when he was "lucky" enough to meet Dr. Pedro Cavadas, who put an end to his long medical ordeal. Moral support was provided by his family, colleagues and friends. And the sport he is passionate about, triathlon.
