Excuses or desire? The best allies to face the cold weather

Raising the shutter and turning on the news are my first two steps after hearing the alarm clock. These are days of seeing icy cars and hearing orange and red alerts, negative thermometers... Typical conditioning factors that probably once led us to think about staying on the couch, with the blanket and a good chocolate with churros.

But... is that what we really want? I don't allow the weather to take over my desire to go out and train, nor my illusions and much less allow it to spoil my goals. So instead of resorting to excuses and stay without "mileage" I propose my solutions to these cold days.

When era little my grandmother revealed to me the traditional secret that probably many of you have also inherited: to avoid getting cold the most important thing is to have warm hands and feet. So for these cold days, gloves are an essential piece in my workouts. I would like to highlight the glove that Mizuno has designed combining on the inside a thermal and breathable fabric and on the outside a waterproof windproof fabric.
Another of the areas most susceptible to cold are the ears. Personally for training I prefer to opt for a headband rather than a cap, as this way I avoid sweating more and at the same time I keep a proper thermal sensation in this area.

I hope most of you didn't resort to the prehistoric solution of "bundling up" in layers in the fearful cold. It's a common mistake, but more layers won't warm you up. On the other hand, there are the brave ones who go out to train with little clothing to avoid sweating and then catching cold.

Think that as soon as we start running our body temperature rises and is giving off heat but in turn is also sensitive to the outside temperature, so we are faced with a struggle of contrasts. That is why our ideal goal is to achieve a balance of body temperature by betting on the appropriate garments as this factor interferes with our performance.

Mizuno has a line of Warmalite fabric that recycles body heat and maintains it, creating a chamber effect as an insulating layer. It also absorbs and evaporates sweat, keeping the body dry. Remember that it is not a question of quantity but of quality.

This vest is another appropriate choice for these days. Its lightweight nylon fabric gives us the comfort that every athlete requires. In addition, the Mesh back just in the lower area allows us a total breathability in the area where we give off more heat.

Ready to challenge the cold, the stopwatch, our friends and everything we propose? If we feel like it, we have options.
