Mizuno continues to increase its roster of sponsored athletes. The triathlete Alejandro Santamaría has reached a collaboration agreement whereby the athlete from Madrid will have the footwear of the Japanese company for the performance of their activities as a professional. Santamaría, 37 years old, is a reference in this sport in Spain.
He has twice been Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Champion (2004 and 2008) and has competed in 25 world championships with the Spanish national team, winning four titles, one in the Junior category and the other three as a team.
His latest success was third place in the Bilbao Triathlon.
He is also a specialist in Ironman, with 19 races completed, most of them finishing in the top 10, with three podiums.
The long experience of the former number 1 in duathlon in Spain in 2009 has led him to combine his duties as an athlete with those of a coach. Mizuno Iberia is pleased to have a standard bearer of the national triathlon, which will surely have a positive impact on its brand image.
