New Balance has prepared some releases that are going to give (a lot, and for good) to talk about. We managed to gossip some of these to make you too have long teeth... because we've already got them!
With Fuel technology we will be able to enjoy no more and no less than three launches. We remind you that Fuel technology is synonymous with speed and responsiveness, ideal for a medium/light runner with a fast pace. The three models below share the same v6 last and 6mm drop. This is an alternative shoe for "slower" and "heavier" runners as a competition model (not marathon), series or farlets. In fact, Fuel is the name of the entire collection, which was previously called Vazee.
New Balance presents it as the great novelty, the only one that carries its new evolution of N2 (injected nitrogen). A 9mm thick piece that goes under the Revlite and occupies the entire sole of the foot. As an important detail, a reinforcement has been placed inside the metatarsal area. Let's say it can be the "rolling" shoe for the "light" and "efficient" runner.
For its part, the Fuel Core Sonic takes the baton from the previous Vazee Pacev2 but with an outstanding evolution both in design and in technology and performance. This is the first New Balance shoe to incorporate the universal "boa" fit system. This has also led to the upper undergoing some alterations and thus have obtained a clean sensations of elements, but with a custom fit to each type of foot. It is an ideal model to give it all in the campo of triathlon, especially in the more amateur environment and in distances beyond the Olympic.
Regarding the New Balance Fuel CoreRushV3 we could say that it is the most versatile shoe in the collection. Within this new evolution it has changed its previous cushioning systemRapid Rebound) and has been applied the Revlite, lighter, more stable and reactive. It has also gained "more body", so to speak, and its blade provides greater stability. This model, due to its characteristics, can be considered the most suitable for any type of physical constitution, but beware, always taking care of the "more corpulent", for them we will go for the "more corpulent". For them we will opt for the Fresh Foam line, which we will talk about below.
To talk about Fresh Foam is to talk about cushioning, comfort and softness, but above all about shoes built from data collection in its different models, which are aimed at runner profiles according to their weight, stride and running style. Data to Design has helped New Balance to achieve simple shoes by using only a single compound in the midsole, playing with geometries that provide stability and customized cushioning in those areas of the shoe that need it most. A revolution that has led the Fresh Foam line to consolidate itself as the most spectacular category for any runner, from the strongest to the lightest.
As great news, this year New Balance puts in our hands (or rather, in our feet) two very powerful evolutions.
In this case we are talking about the first universal shoe from New Balance (the brand speaks of it as a true pioneer) that offers thanks to the "DTD" a control of pronation or stability without external extra elements. All this has been achieved by analyzing runners with this type of footprint, resulting in the design of a perfectly marked midsole to provide a different level of Fresh Foam in the areas of stability (generally inside the midsole and outside of the metatarsal) where the shapes play a very important role.
In this way, New Balance has achieved that both the neutral runner, as well as the overpronator, do not notice any difference to the use of a neutral shoe (shod), but a great response in their footstep control and stability. The Fresh Foam Vongov2, for this reason, has recently been awarded by Runner's World Magazine as the best new shoe of the year. Big words, come on.
Another of the launches that have made our eyes glaze over is the Fresh Foam Gobiv2, a model that in its second version has made its way into the Trail-running category.
And if in its first version we were encouraged by New Balance to run smoothly with these shoes on any type of terrain, and we highlighted its superior cushioning thanks to its Fresh Foam midsole and AT TREAD outsole and thanks to its comfortable fit and the variety of its striking colors were the perfect combination of stability and style, with this new version the sensations are even more spectacular.
If we analyze and study it well, we can observe two aspects: On the one hand, without being a purely trail shoe as can be more "powerful" models such as the New Balance Hierro v2, 910v4 or Summit, specially designed for each type of terrain and demand, the Gobi is very versatile, and is a model that can introduce us to those who try it, in this type of shoe without noticing a big difference when we change from a model of asphalt to it.
It should be noted that this is a great shoe to which you get special performance on terrain type tracks or land not so "technical". It has most of the reinforcements and protections of the high-end models, which makes it an excellent "semi-competition" shoe for more skilled and purist athletes on less complicated terrain.
The Gobi is, in short, the typical shoe that allows us to go from the city to the campo or the park and enjoy an intermediate sensation between what can be an asphalt shoe and a trail shoe.
