We are approaching the end of the year, and that is synonymous with new releases, and also with the expected updates by brand. Such is the case of the new ASICS Running shoes for 2020. It is necessary to be aware, because all of them are going to give a lot of play this coming season In Runnea we tell you about them!
Speaking of everything new in ASICS Running shoes that is coming, and as usual every December, at first, the Japanese brand takes advantage of the great fair "The Running Event" in Austin in Texas (USA) to present those best-selling models for spring and autumn 2020. Some of the North American pages of the sector, such as our colleagues at Road Trail Run, have already announced these exclusives. As it could not be otherwise, in Runnea we also echo.
Thus, some of the icons of the Japanese brand of Kobe are already available on the market, and others are coming soon. We are talking about four new updates: ASICS Nimbus 22, ASICS Kayano 27, ASICS Cumulus 22 and ASICS Gel Noosa Tri 12. But also the presentation of new models, such as the ASICS Nimbus Lite and ASICS EVO Ride, among others.
With the ASICS Nimbus 22 , iconictop of the range in cushioning for neutral runners, and which has completely renewed its upper with a new monofilament mesh to provide even more comfort in each step; and the ASICS Gel Noosa Tri 12, the good thing is that both are already in stores, and you can put them on, and test sensations, because they are already on sale; what is coming ASICS Running aims high, and looks very good.
Another of the icons of ASICS Running for runners who need support and stability in their footprint, which continues to evolve, and showing that its longevity is an unmistakable sign that development and work well done have their reward, and hence the Kayano saga remains among the best sellers.
In this case, and in the absence of the official release, in the new update of the ASICS Kayano 27 we will see a major renovation of the model, given that in the heel area two layers of FlyteFoam foam are added, along with an insertion of the GEL system. The upper layer incorporates full-length FlyteFoam Propel foam, which offers a more cushioned, comfortable and reactive stride for safer and more secure long-distance running.
On the other hand, and turning the model upside down, on the outsole, and at the level of the midsole, it also has the space of the exclusive Trusttic technology to increase both the stability and flexibility of the model. While the upper of this new ASICS Kayano 27 features a sleek jacquard knit mesh with TPU upper for added support and support in the midfoot. That upper support also comes from that particular external buttress, a plastic element, which as already seen in the ASICS Kayano 26 help provide support and stability to the heel area.
There is no doubt that all these improvements in the Kayano 27 are focused on increasing the efficiency of the runner's stride.
ASICS ' successful Cumulus franchise reaches its 22nd edition with a total redesign. Despite living in the shadow of the legendary Gel Nimbus -they are just as long-lived-, this new update of the ASICS Cumulus 22 lands ready to continue delighting its loyal followers, of which there are many.
In this sense, the Cumulus 22 from ASICS Running have as a great point in favor that they are lighter in weight, up to 20 grams less than the previous version of the Cumulus 21. The cushioning system has evolved and improved with a lower layer of double density FlyteFoam; another layer, upper, of FlyteFoam Propel; and with the addition of the GEL system in the back of the shoe. Materials that work together to provide a well-cushioned, comfortable stride with increased energy return.
The upper of the redesigned ASICS Cumulus 22 wraps the foot with strategic 3D printed overlays in the midfoot and offers a more adaptive, sock-like fit for increased comfort. So this makes the ASICS Cumulus 22 the lightest and softest silhouette to date.
One of the new releases of the season, and with which the Japanese brand is going to create a new trend, because taking the philosophy of the Nimbus saga, with all that it implies, this new version of the ASICS Nimbus Lite enters the scene with a new twist and change of concept by being a more sustainable product. This is because its upper is made from recycled polyester, using an innovative monofilament layer.
For its part, the midsole is made from a single piece of FlyteFoam foam, reducing the use of different glues and adhesives. This eco-friendly mentality of the ASICS Nimbus Lite also translates into a lighter version than the traditional ASICS Nimbus model.
All in all, even though for cushioning purposes, these Nimbus Lite are a step down from the Nimbus 22, it is true that their design and performance are designed to continue to offer an exclusive ride with optimal cushioning, fit and comfort for daily workouts.
The ASICS Evo Ride is another new release from the renowned Japanese manufacturer, which follows in the footsteps of the ASICS MetaRide and ASICS GlideRide. So the idea does not change, and the mission of these new Evo Ride is to offer the most efficient and smoothest possible transitions to the runner. With this premise in mind, the presence of FlyteFoam foam is non-negotiable in the midsole, improving the propulsion phase of the model.
Looking at the upper of this Evo Ride, the engineered mesh is able to increase that lightweight feel, and a great fit for use as an efficient training shoe.
