New Balance FuelCell Rebel v4

HOKA Mach 6 vs New Balance FuelCell Rebel v44: Speed and versatility without carbon plate

The New Balance FuelCell Rebel v4 4 is the latest bet of the brand in the mixed shoes segment. We came from 3 editions of the Rebel range with important changes and designs with lights and shadows. The first edition was an innovative design and the 2 and 3 versions have gone unnoticed. This model, however, represents a turning point. They are mainly oriented to runners with neutral stride and light to intermediate weights. Its midsole gains in height and now the platform is wider, in search of a very good reactive cushioning and a more stable running sensation without increasing the total weight of the shoe.

Performance

But don't be fooled by appearances. This is a very fast shoe. The FuelCell foam has been evolved to offer more reactivity. You'll feel it from your first workout. From training at varied paces, short intervals to longer distances at a more leisurely pace. Despite not including a carbon plate, its design without an overly exaggerated rocker promotes a natural, efficient and very dynamic movement.

The New Balance FuelCell Rebel v4 combines a reactive foam, an extremely light weight, a very comfortable feel and is really fast on the run.

HOKA Mach 6

The HOKA Mach 6 is a model that combines dynamic cushioning with a design designed for speed without losing sight of comfort. We will find a new composition of its Super Critical foam in the midsole offering the runner a more reactive and dynamic stride experience. In addition, the rocker last design contributes to a more dynamic transition in each stride.

Performance

They are intended for runners looking to run at medium to high paces, and light to medium weight (up to 80-82 kg). The HOKA Mach 6 are ideal for competitions up to half marathon or even marathon (if we are under 70 kg) and quality training. Their versatility makes them suitable for a wide range of distances, from fast 5k races to longer events, always offering stability and comfort.

We compare their performance

We start from the point that we are talking about 2 of the best mixed shoes that we are going to find right now in the market. Therefore we are going to find few differences but there are details that can make your decision for one running shoe or the other.
