Lanzarote International Marathon 2024: Race Guide

The Lanzarote Marathon 2024 now has an official date confirmed by the race organisers. The new edition of this popular Canary Islands race will take place on 7th December 2024 and the pre-registration period is now open. The event, which will start and finish near Costa Teguise, will commence at 8:00 AM on 7th December. On this day, the half marathon and 10k events will also be held.

The course for this Lanzarote International Marathon 2024 will be 42.195 kilometres within an urban circuit and on asphalt/pavement, which is certified by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), with all kilometre points properly marked. This edition will be open to the participation of recreational runners without distinction of sex, nationality, or status (affiliated or not) aged over 16 (with proper authorisation required for those aged between 16 and 18).

Categories

Registrations for the Lanzarote International Marathon 2024 are now open. Until 1st December 2024 or until the available bib numbers run out, any recreational runner wishing to participate in the event must register online through the official website designated for the event.

On their part, the participation categories stipulated by the organisers, for both women and men, for this edition of the Lanzarote International Marathon 2024 will be as follows:

  • Senior: 16-34 years
  • Veteran A: 35-39 years
  • Veteran B: 40-44 years
  • Veteran C: 45-49 years
  • Veteran D: 50-54 years
  • Veteran E: 55-59 years
  • Veteran F: 60-64 years
  • Veteran G: 65-69 years
  • Veteran H: Over 70 years

Bib Collection

The bib/chip will be handed out exclusively in person upon presenting your passport or ID, at the EXPO AREA - in front of Sands Beach Resort on Avenida Islas Canarias, 18 ? 35508 ? Costa Teguise, on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December, from 09:00 to 21:00 (continuously). The organisers reserve the right to change the location for bib collection.

In the event that you are unable to collect your race number, another person may do so by presenting the completed official authorisation. Furthermore, the delivery of any race numbers is strictly prohibited on Saturday, 7th December 2024, the same day as the event, so collection must take place on Friday and Saturday.

Prices

The registration fee for the new edition of the Lanzarote International Marathon 2024 will vary, as is customary for this type of race, depending on the proximity to the event. Therefore, the following values, although yet to be confirmed but based on previous editions, will likely be stipulated by the organisers for the registration of this thirty-second edition:

  • FIRST STAGE: ?70 (Until 31st October 2024)
  • SECOND STAGE: ?75 (From 1st November 2024)

The route for this new edition of the Lanzarote International Marathon 2024 consists of its iconic 42.195 kilometres on an urban circuit over asphalt/pavement that is certified by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), with all kilometre points adequately marked.

A circuit that starts and finishes in the vicinity of Costa Teguise, forming a linear route along the coast that must be completed within a maximum time of 6 hours. A course that is sure to provide a day to enjoy running at sea level in an unparalleled setting.
