Go to the Shoe FinderThe Ocean Lava Lanzarote is a world-renowned triathlon event, which will take place on October 26, 2024 in the paradise island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. This event, organized by K3 Servicios Deportivos Integrales SL, has the collaboration of the City Council of Tias, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the Government of the Canary Islands and various private entities, which make the event a race with an unbeatable organization.
For the "clueless", we must begin by explaining that the competition, developed under the umbrella of the Canarian Triathlon Federation, offers three modes of participation: Supersprint, Olympic and Middle Distance. In addition, the Olympic modality includes a team relay category, allowing a more inclusive and diverse participation. Each of these modalities, has a circuit in which a first swimming segment, a second cycling segment, and a third and final running segment are combined, with different distances in each one:
Lanzarote, known for its unique volcanic landscapes, stunning beaches and favorable climate, provides an ideal environment for a sporting event of this magnitude. Thus, runners who register through the official website of the event will be able to enjoy a test of unique beauty in one of the most beautiful places of the Canary Islands orography, which will lead them to be fascinated and leave their skin in the same way in a route as beautiful as hard.
Registrations for the Ocean Lava Lanzarote 2024 can be made exclusively through the official website of the event. The registration process is simple, and began last November 24, 2023 at 12:00. The delivery of bibs will take place in two sessions, both on Friday October 25, 2024, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, at the Plaza de las Naciones, and on Saturday October 26, 2024, for exceptional cases approved by the organization, from 6:00 to 7:00, just after check-in. Likewise, the use of the chip and bib provided by the organization will be mandatory throughout the race, except in the swimming segment, where other means of identification will be used.
On the other hand, the program for October 25 and 26 is not limited to the delivery of bibs and start of the different modalities, but forms a very complete line-up, with official briefing of the races and awards ceremony that we detail below:
As we advanced at the beginning, the Ocean Lava Lanzarote offers challenging and spectacular courses adapted to each modality. Each segment of swimming, cycling and running is designed to make the most of the stunning scenery of Lanzarote, offering the most emblematic circuits that will pass through spectacular points of the island's orography.
The following is a summary of the characteristics of the circuit of each modality, differentiating each particular segment of the same:
