Improve running performance

The calendar has taken us into September. Many of you are starting your working day, school, university... Routines are back on schedule. In my case, I enjoy knowing that my hours are full of chores. So for those of you who are facing the vacations with a bit of negativity, I suggest you renew your attitude.

Sometimes we blind ourselves to the fact that we can only find the "most and best" in the great opportunities or that we enjoy our vacation days the most, but we have to take off the blindfold to our routine. There are many details in our daily life that go unnoticed or that we forget their valor when we interpret them as usual. However, they may be the ones that bring us the greatest happiness but our prejudices hinder us from appreciating them.
With the proposal of a new look at your day, I would like you to know another aspect that I have incorporated into my training routine:accessories.

Accessories: object that makes up, in a secondary way, a person's clothing.

Generally, we use accessories for a decorative or aesthetic function to achieve our best "look". But in sports, accessories are not only an element to be fashionably equipped, but they become essential details if we want to polish our performance.

Belt

As I mentioned in a previous post, hydration is a priority in improving physical performance and for our health. Therefore, in the same way that it is not feasible to go running without running shoes, neither should it be without our drink.
I often see athletes who go out for a run in the expectation of finding a possible source of water or waiting for their return home to drink. I have also come across numerous runners carrying their water bottle in their hand. And indeed, I have suffered from seeing some of you like this. In the old days I too era to belts and opted not to hydrate myself. "How uncomfortable and heavy it must be!" era what I thought until I tried it. Thanks to the belt today I go out to train without the worry of thinking if I will go thirsty, if there will be a fountain 400 meters away or what I have left to go home and drink.

This belt fits perfectly to our waist. Specifically, the one I use from Mizuno has a small rubber band at the top that holds the water bottle so that it stays still between strides. As an added bonus to comfort, it has a small zippered pocket in case we want to keep our house or car keys.

Music

Going for a run with or without music is very personal and we are lucky to be able to choose. In my case, I decide according to my mood or the type of training to be done. If I have a quality session (series for example) in which the priority is concentration, I forget about music. However, there are days when I give voice to my body and it asks me to go running with the extra motivation of music. Mizuno, which is always attentive to the needs of the athlete, makes it easy for us with all kinds of details.

Compression socks have become a common item among runners. Among the many recovery tricks, I resort to them at the end of demanding workouts or for long runs that I go on to compete.
