Reebok Nano X4: Perfect for strength and endurance workouts

Within the world of sports, one of the parallel training is strength training. It is increasingly common to see our idols doing mobility or strength exercises at the gym, and we are not going to be less.

Within the world of weights and fitness, footwear is an essential part to make every movement perfect and feel comfortable at the same time, to bring out our maximum potential. Therefore, when I had the opportunity to try the Reebok Nano X4 I did not hesitate.

Undoubtedly we are facing one of the reference shoes in the fitness world, thanks to its great comfort and stability in each lift.

Main characteristics

  • Outsole: It has a rubber outsole with good traction and is very durable. However, it can get to lose a little grip on smooth floors, such as tiles.
  • Stiffness: Being a shoe designed for weightlifting, one of the main features should be the feeling of stiffness to give us confidence in those squat exercises where our body requires security.
  • Stability: In line with the above, stability goes together with the need to feel firm and in continuous contact with the ground when doing exercises with a large flexion of the knees or hips. If we had to describe these Nano x4 with only one characteristic, it would undoubtedly be: stability.
  • Materials: The upper has a very breathable and cushioned Flexweave mesh that keeps the foot cool and comfortable at the same time.
  • Design: If we talk about the design, we can clearly see how the brand bets on the same line as its predecessors, maintaining a modern and attractive aesthetic.
  • Cushioning: We talk about cushioning as the last point, because for me, it is the feature that has left me most to be desired in this latest version of the Reebok Nano X4. If it is true that the use of the Floatride Energy foam can accommodate each step, the feeling when running is not the same.

Target audience for this Reebok Nano X4

The Reebok Nano X4 is designed for a broad spectrum of athletes, both beginners and advanced, making it a versatile option in the training world. Their cutting-edge design and technology make them suitable for people with varying levels of experience, from those looking to improve their overall performance to more experienced athletes who want to push their limits in functional and strength training.

One of the key aspects of Nano X4 is their stability, making them ideal for athletes of all body types, regardless of their body weight. The sole and upper are designed to offer solid support during intense movements, providing the confidence needed to handle heavy loads or perform high-intensity workouts. This makes them an excellent choice for anyone committed to improving their strength and endurance, as they offer a stable platform for complex and demanding exercises.

They are perfect for workouts such as:

  1. Crosstraining or CrossFit: Nano X4 are perfect for disciplines that combine functional and high-intensity exercises, such as CrossFit. Their durable, lightweight design allows for dynamic movements such as jumps, sprints, Olympic lifts and bodyweight exercises, without sacrificing stability or comfort.
  2. Gym enthusiasts: those looking to improve their overall fitness and those who train in a more specialized way will find Nano X4 to be a reliable shoe. Whether for weight training, cardio routines or circuit sessions, their structure favors a firm tread and good weight distribution.
  3. Strength training: If your main goal is to increase strength, these shoes are especially useful. Thanks to their rigid sole and traction, they offer the necessary support for exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses or any lifting that requires a solid and controlled base.

What I liked the most about the Reebok Nano X4

What I liked most about the Reebok Nano X4 is its extraordinary stability when performing exercises such as squats. The rigidity of the midsole provides me with secure support, allowing me to maintain correct posture and reduce the risk of injury. In addition, the comfort and breathability of the upper, made of Flexweave fabric, keeps my feet cool and comfortable throughout my training session. This combination of stability, support and comfort makes Nano X4 one of the best options today for any crossfit routine.

Possible improvements for the Reebok Nano X4

What I liked least about the Reebok Nano X4 are the reinforcements they have on the sides to give more stability. While they do help keep the foot firm, they can be uncomfortable if you have wide feet or feet with little bridge, as is my case. You feel extra pressure in those areas, which can make you feel uncomfortable during the first few workouts.

Another thing is that the shoes feel a bit stiff at first. It took me a while until they were adjusting better to the shape of my foot. As you adjust, you might notice that discomfort, especially if you do long workouts.

Why should you choose the Reebok Nano X4?

In short, the Reebok Nano X4 have been a great choice for my crossfit workouts. Their stability in exercises such as squats, the stiffness of the midsole and the comfort and breathability of the upper make them very complete. These features have allowed me to perform at my best, always keeping a feeling of support and freshness in my feet.

However, the side gussets can be uncomfortable for those with wide or low-bridged feet, and the initial stiffness of the last requires a break-in period that can be annoying. Despite these drawbacks, I think the Nano X4 are worth the price, especially for those looking for performance and durability in their training shoes.
