A new addition to the already large family of Garmin Fenix 5 heart rate monitors has arrived on the market. We refer to the Garmin Fenix 5S Plus, which stands out for its small size and lightness compared to other models in this family such as: Fenix 5 and Fenix 5S. A point in favor of this new silhouette is the increase of the useful screen, which goes from the 279 mm that had the Fenix 5S to the standard screen size of 30.2 mm that most Garmin watches maintain.
Although to many people it may seem silly the large number of versions that are being released in the Garming models, we have to add that they all have an added valor. That is why we are going to tell you below what are the main changes of this new model compared to the previous version.
First of all, the increase of the screen has been established in order to better visualize the maps, and therefore, adapt to future improvements that Garmin will establish in its subsequent system updates. On the other hand, this device has been improved in size and weight, it now fits much better to people with slimmer wrists. Against this Fenix 5S Plus we must add that it is not oriented to ultra long distances, since the battery consumption has been decreased to 11 hours. Therefore, we recommend using this watch for shorter distances than the other models in this family.
In this section there have been few changes in this new Plus version compared to the 5S version, so we are going to show you a summary of the main features offered by this watch.
