The Foretrex 401 combines a high-sensitivity waterproof GPS receiver, electronic compass and barometric altimeter in a lightweight device, ideal for hikers, skiers, campers and military personnel. For easy data sharing you can connect the Foretrex unit to your computer via USB or simply send the data wirelessly to another device.
No matter where your adventure takes you; if you have the Foretrex 401 with you, getting lost is no longer a worry. The Foretrex tracks your route and displays it on the screen as a small dotted trail. Just activate the Foretrex's TracBack® feature and you can trace your way back to the starting point. Keep track of your heading and altitude with the Foretrex 401's electronic compass and barometric altimeter. You can store locations in memory as waypoints, so you can always find your way back to an important place, such as your campsite or vehicle. And with up to 17 hours of battery life and replaceable AAA batteries, you won't have to worry about not being able to get back.
The Foretrex 401 lets you create and store routes to all your favorite places and provides useful information, including a trip computer, sunrise and sunset times, and hunting and fishing information. For even more data, connect the Foretrex 401 to a wireless accessory, such as a heart rate monitor or cadence sensor, or attach it to your bike with the bike mount accessory. To track your ride, connect the Foretrex to your PC or Mac via USB and store waypoints, routes and tracks on your computer.
