The new Garmin Tactix 7 is now available, a high-performance sports watch designed to offer maximum performance in our outdoor activities.
The Garmin Tactix 7 is a sports watch equipped with a sapphire lens, traditional buttons and a touch screen for ease of use while playing sports in the mountains.
Garmin expands its catalog of high-end heart rate monitors & sports watches with the launch of this device that is designed according to military standards (MIL-STD-810) so we will have a resistant watch with a high quality design.
One of the highlights of the watch is the battery life, we can enjoy the watch up to 28 days of battery life in smart watches mode and up to 89 hours in GPS mode, a battery life slightly lower than the Garmin Tactix 7 Pro.
We are facing a watch designed to be used outdoors, whatever the activity we do, so it has an integrated flashlight with green or white light that can help us to guide us in low light conditions, the integrated multi LED flashlight provides quick access to a bright and stable beam of light.
Also note that it has a display with great night vision capability, you can easily switch between day and night view of the screen that can even be read with night vision goggles.
It incorporates other interesting outdoor functions such as access to weather reports on winds, visibility, barometric pressure and other data of interest. In addition, through the Outdoor Maps+ subscription we will have access to premium maps (US coverage only) and satellite images (worldwide coverage), downloaded directly to the watch.
With the Garmin Tactix 7 we can also perform and monitor all our sports activities, in fact it has preinstalled activity profiles for trail and track running, swimming, running, cycling, hiking, among others.
In addition, we can also follow high-intensity training sessions such as AMRAP, HIIT, EMOM, among others.
For running and trail running we can consult all the recommended daily training sessions of the week, which are adapted after each running or cycling session to suit our performance and recovery.
Technologies such as PacePro, which helps us to maintain the right pace during our training, or the Race Forecast, which gives us an estimate of the pace for the target distance, are also integrated in this device.
The Garmin Tactix 7 goes beyond the multiple functions for our outdoor activities that we have seen previously, it also has typical functions of a smart watch, such as the possibility of receiving notifications (emails, text messages and alerts) directly on the watch, as long as it is linked to a compatible device.
It also incorporates other useful functions such as the possibility of making payments with the watch, through Garmin Pay, stock tracking from the watch through the Stocks application and also functions related to security and tracking, since if we have the watch and the phone linked, we can send our location live to the contacts we choose manually.
