The Chiruca Arenal 08 is a hiking shoe that incorporates a Gore-Tex membrane and stands out for its great lightness.

Main characteristics of the Chiruca Arenal 08

The Spanish brand Chiruca continues to expand its catalog of hiking shoes & walking boots with this new model that escapes from the design and style of the brand's traditional walking boots.

The Chiruca Arenal 08 features a breathable mesh upper and a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane that guarantees that our feet will stay dry even when hiking in the rain or on wet and/or humid terrain.

The upper also features two small pull tabs, one on the tongue and the other on the heel area to make it easier to put on and take off the shoe at all times.

The midsole of the shoe has aphylon compound (an improved version of EVA foam that is less dense, and therefore lighter) that provides good cushioning for using the shoe during long days of hiking in the mountains.

The outsole is Vibram Megagrip, which guarantees great durability and grip on a wide variety of surfaces, provided that they are not of great technical difficulty or high mountain terrain where shoes with greater protection and high cane will be more suitable for this type of terrain.

The Chiruca Arenal 08 is a lightweight shoe, weighing just 274 grams, a light weight for a hiking shoe, however, it is not for use in high mountain hiking or in excessively technical terrain, so its lightness will be appreciated.
