Year 2024

The new Columbia Drainmaker XTR is now available, a shoe that we can use during our summer excursions and in those terrains where water is the main protagonist.

The Columbia Drainmaker XTR is a hiking shoe that is specially designed for use on wet or damp terrain where water is the main protagonist thanks to the design of its midsole that allows a great evacuation of water and a sole specially designed for use in environments near mountain rivers or similar terrain.

Main features of the Columbia Drainmaker XTR

This new model from the brand demonstrates Columbia's commitment and specialization in offering quality outdoor products to different athlete profiles.

The upper is made with a mixture of synthetic fabric, mesh and fabric to provide greater security but, at the same time, with good breathability and, above all, a great drainage capacity for water activities.

The shoe has a large horizontal pull tab in the heel area to make it easy to put the shoe on and take it off quickly and easily.

The midsole has multiple drainage areas, both on the outside and inside to keep water flowing and prevent our feet from getting excessively wet.

The outsole of the shoe features Omni-Grip LT technology, which provides enhanced traction and durability thanks to the high grip foam that is 60% lighter than traditional rubber for greater stability and grip on a wide range of surfaces.

Grip is also enhanced thanks to the outsole design which features microgrooves to improve grip on wetter surfaces.

Ideal profile of the Columbia Drainmaker XTR

This is a shoe that is designed to be used not in any mountain environment, but in those where there is a large presence of water, which is the ideal terrain for which it has been conceived.

It is a shoe that adapts to athletes of light weight, even medium weight (over 70 kilos) as it has a light weight of 271 grams .

In short, we are faced with a model that has been designed with a midsole that will allow the flow of air and, above all, good drainage under our feet, to be able to enter and exit the water with completely dry and protected feet.
