Year 2016

Adidas Running outdoes itself with each new release of its extensive Running shoes catalog. The Adidas Response Boost 2 is a clear example of this. This second version is an improved model compared to its predecessor, as it promises to provide the athlete with better foot fit, flexibility and stability during competitive races. And here, performance is an important factor.

Among the notable improvements that can be highlighted in this model is the fact that Adidas has left aside the design that gave a very "plastic" appearance in the previous version, to incorporate more mesh to the shoe, especially in the midfoot and heel section. In addition to this they have incorporated a perforated tongue that allows for greater ventilation, and takes away some of the stiffness that was perceived from the previous shoe.

Techfit for comfort

A comfortable shoe can make all the difference when it comes to an athlete's performance and Adidas has kept this in mind in the design of the Adidas Response Boost 2. The entire outside of the shoe utilizes Techfit technology in which breathable mesh and solid, yet flexible support and structures have been employed to naturally accommodate the athlete's foot.

The rigid plastic bands of the previous design have been replaced with soft material bands that better adapt to the foot and allow for a more efficient grip. Both the tongue and collar are made of cushioned materials that provide greater comfort, even if the shoes are worn without socks. The shoe features a removable insole for comfort and support.

TORSION System, more stability

An EVA foam and plastic support is incorporated into the midfoot of the shoe in what is called the TORSION System, a technology that provides stability to the foot for pronator runners, as well as neutral runners. This cushioning system allows the foot to move more libre during running while reducing impact during the stride and transferring energy to improve stride performance.

The outsole

The Adidas Response Boost 2 features a rubber outsole designed not only to ensure durability, but also to promote cushioning and maintain the shoe's flexibility at all times. The outsole is ideal for asphalt terrain and provides good grip even when the ground is wet.

The ideal training shoe

With a 10mm drop, the cushioning of these shoes is undoubtedly very remarkable, and has made them one of the best Adidas sagas in training shoes, when the use we will make of the shoe will be more frequent. Together with the TORSION System and the flexible but resistant sole design, they are also noted for the stability they provide during the run, especially when running long distances.
