The Adidas Terrez CMTK is the new trail running shoe from the German company. They have designed a sports shoe focused on runners or more relaxed or occasional walkers, with a strong medium build. It stands out for its high quality materials, in fact, it is again a collaboration of the brand of the three stripes with the tire company Continental. A duet that has even worked to perfection. Versatility and cushioning are among its features.
Let's go into detail about the performance of this trailrunning shoe. The midsole is the part in which Adidas has developed the most work, with special emphasis on adding a good level of cushioning. We find it both in the front and rear, especially in the latter part. Another great feature is the protection thanks to the inclusion of a hard TPU stabilizer in the heel that also favors the stability of the shoe.
We continue with the upper of the Adidas Terrex CMTK, which has been designed with a double layer system. On the one hand we find an outer mesh that provides rigidity to the shoe, and on the inner part in changes there is another fabric that covers the shoe to increase the level of comfort of the athlete. The downside of this double system is that it reduces the flexibility of the shoe and the breathability of the foot. In fact, if we go running in light rain we will have no problem but if the rain is more abundant and penetrates to the inner layer, the foot will get wet and it will be difficult for that area to dry, the same happens if our foot sweats easily, once it is transferred to the inner layer the drying time will be slower. Hence the problems with breathability that we mentioned earlier. However, thanks to this second layer our feet will be more protected especially in the front and lateral part. Also, this model has been made with top quality materials so the durability of this shoe is more than assured. The fit is one of the aspects that Adidas needs to improve, as it only has a lacing system that falls short and the fit is reduced after a few kilometers. This is not helped by the EVA tongue which, being a light laminate, does not allow the laces to be tied tightly.
In the sole area the idea has been clear. Why touch something that works perfectly. We are talking about the combination of the German firm with one of the main tire companies, Continental. Other models had shown that Adidas tire soles are a clear success but that has also been included in the Terrex CMTK. Also, in the heel area there are padded areas to contribute to the protection we were talking about a few lines back.
As for technical specifications, as usual in trail models, the drop is a wide 10mm. And the weight of the Adidas Terrex CMTK is 290 gr
