New and innovative update of the iconic Ultra Boost. The trend in adidas running shoes will continue to be on everyone's lips, because the German company has major milestones such as its firm commitment to the Alphabounce the revolution that the launch of its new Solar technology will bring. But neither should we lose sight of the fact that we are also celebrating the fifth anniversary of the revolutionary BOOST cushioning system. Back in 2013, the Energy Boost running shoe was the pioneer in implementing this innovative technology, in collaboration with BASF, and the one that showed the way to heavyweights such as the UltraBOOST, Supernova and Adizero sagas have positioned themselves as adidas running top sellers.

And for such an ephemeris, nothing better than to take its best-selling model, and give it a new twist to present a new revision that comes to embody a relaunch of the UltraBOOST 2018. It is necessary to remember that one of the keys to the success of the UltraBOOST is that it is a top of the range running shoe in cushioning, and that it is capable of providing one of the highest energy returns on the market, which contributes to improving the runner's momentum, and therefore his own confidence in every kilometer he runs.

adidas Ultra BOOST, new Primeknit evolution

With all this, and within its latest running campaign "Energy from the Ground Up" -literally, "Energy from the Ground Up "-, the German house has put the spotlight on the UltraBOOST as the real star of the party. In this sense, the UltraBOOST 2018 innovates in its aesthetic section to present an updated construction of its upper, improving the PrimeKnit fabric with the idea of offering greater support and comfort in each step.

Such are the dimensions of this new renewal of the UltraBOOST that adidas running designers have worked tirelessly on such relevant sections as movement, precision and fit. Even adidas has sought to embody that motto of "the inspiration of running until you grow" with global athletes such as the South African long-distance athlete Dominique Scott, or the British sprinter Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, among others.

This is reflected in the words of Stephan Schneider, Senior Product Manager at adidasrunning: "As an open brand, we listen to consumers, take into account their likes and dislikes about each UltraBOOST model and use this information to constantly evolve and change our products to meet their needs. This approach led us to realize the new PrimeKnit construction, which fuses our consumers' favorite features, both new and old, creating something entirely new and unique for our global community," says Schneider.

adidas UltraBOOST 2018, its most notable new features.

The evolution of the renewed UltraBOOST 2018 is marked because adidas has opted to incorporate the best of each of the versions that make up the prolific UltraBOOST family.

Thus, the first aesthetic change that jumps to the eye is that adidas running designers have recovered the original ventilation holes to place them, again, both in the front and in the upper area of the shoe. But these are distributed in strategic areas, more specifically in those parts where the sweating of the foot is more evident.

But as we mentioned before, the main change in these new UltraBOOST lies in the new PrimeKnit construction. Its updated development has allowed to reduce the stretching of the model, which contributes to the runner to enjoy a perfect and more personalized fit, but also an additional support. A support in which also has much to say the classic Torsion System of the German firm, which improves stability, but also the softness in each step.

Associated with support and stability, the UltraBOOST 2018 also incorporate a lateral plastic reinforcement, in the form of a lightweight plate, on the inner and lower part of the rear area of the shoe. This resource acts as a stabilizing element in a strategic point of the model, which also contributes to increasing the lifespan of the shoe.

UltraBOOST, a paradigm of cushioning, responsiveness and adaptability

In addition to this major innovation, the UltraBOOST remains faithful to the BOOST system in its midsole to provide excellent cushioning, extraordinary response and great adaptability. The exclusive Continental rubber compound is also maintained in the outsole, as always to optimize grip and traction on virtually any asphalt surface, and is based on the Stretchweb concept, whose mission is focused on making the runner's stride more flexible and smooth.

In short, the new PrimeKnit construction makes the UltraBOOST 2018 offer a more adaptive fit, while improving the comfort and breathability of the shoe, a hallmark of adidas running. Technical specifications remain the same: Drop of 10 millimeters (heel: 29mm and forefoot: 19mm), and approximate weight of about 310 grams for men's size 42 2. It should be noted that the women's version has an exclusive model like the adidas UltraBOOST X with a specific last for the female foot, a reduced weight of 238 grams (38 2) and a more adapted drop of 95 mm.

UltraBOOST, original model

It seemed that everything had already been invented in the world of running, but nothing could be further from the truth. adidas Running has once again taken up the banner of innovation to present a new release that will not leave any runner indifferent.

In 2013 it was the revolutionary BOOST cushioning technology that has marked a before and after when it comes to running. Now, in 2015, the new change has its own name: Ultra BOOST.

Running like you've never run before, that's the feeling you'll get when you put on this new model from the German company. The Ultra BOOST is capable of adapting intuitively to every stride you take, obtaining the highest energy return with BOOST, superior support and adaptive comfort for miles, miles and more miles.

The traditional EVA outsole completely disappears from the design of this shoe, and adidas has opted to incorporate 20% more BOOST cushioning material, giving you more direct contact. In addition, it should not be forgotten that the most advanced technologies of the moment have been used in its development, such as the ARAMIS 3D format, an effective analysis system and durability studies used by NASA, Audi or Boing, among others.

Renewed PRIMEKNIT fabric

Another of the most important aspects that will not go unnoticed in this new bet is the PRIMEKNIT technology. A totally renewed system with the idea of achieving new goals in support, comfort and style.

In this sense, the innovative PRIMEKNIT pattern of Ultra BOOST will provide you with an incredibly comfortable support in the parts where the foot tends to expand less, and an adaptable stretch where you need it most. The result is none other than to offer you maximum comfort, avoiding annoying blisters and even friction.

"Each technology featured in Ultra BOOST was built to complement the other, delivering energized adaptability through a custom fit, look and feel," says Ben Herath, vice president of design for adidas Running.

But the Ultra BOOST 's most relevant features don't end there, far from it. Among its most advanced features is the Stretch Web outsole, whose innovative system allows it to stretch and adapt according to the movement of your own foot. In addition, the Strecth Web outsole brings with it a perforated elastic design that enhances each and every one of the qualities of BOOST energy.

Smoother and more controlled running

On the other hand, the heel is another of the strengths of the Ultra BOOST. With the creation of a precise and fine-tuned heel counter, the foot is supported more comfortably, while at the same time freeing the natural movement of the Achilles tendon. Add to that the new featherweight insole, which conforms to the natural shape of your foot. The sensation it transmits is that of being made to measure.

The TORSION® SYSTEM is also updated with dual-density, and incorporated into the base of the shoe. This contributes to a more independent movement between the forefoot and heel area, promoting superior stability. In short, with the Ultra BOOST on your feet you will have the sensation of a smoother and more controlled run.
