These Adidas Vanaka Trail shoes, as the name suggests, are specially designed for those runners who want to start trying trail running without making a high economic investment. The German firm has presented in 2014 this mid-range model aimed at the female audience that offers good results for training in the mountains with a low-medium technical difficulty.
If we stop to analyze the shoe, it has an approximate weight of 250 grams for a foot size 38. Its upper or the upper part of the mesh has perforations which contributes greatly to better ventilation of the foot. On the other hand, it adds a side panel with three stripes that provide better support and minimizes movements inside the foot while running.
In terms of the sole, the German multinational uses a technology called TRAXION, which, as its name suggests, gives the shoe an outstanding grip. The lugs and embossed sole also provide firm grip and stability on rough, steep and slippery terrain due to water and mud.
Moreover, the sole of the Vanaka Trail incorporates Adiwear technology in the parts of the shoe most exposed to wear in order to increase the resistance of the trail running shoe. This model, whose price is within reach of most pockets, has a slightly more expensive version that adds a Gore-Tex membrane, providing greater impermeability for those mountain outings in which the weather conditions become extremely adverse.
