Altra One 2.5

The new Altra One 2.5 was built for speed, without sacrificing the comfort needed to maintain that speed all the way to the finish line. All parts of this shoe feature Altra's patented design, FootShape toe cap design allows the toes to relax and move freely for incredible comfort and added stability, Innerflex technology adapts to the flex of the foot with omni-directional flex grooves in the midsole.

Cushioning is provided by A-Bound which protects the feet on impact and bounces to add a sense of momentum to every step. The rocker platform, similar to Skechers shoes, features Zero Drop, which allows you to land with your midfoot or metatarsals.

Altra incorporates in this model its characteristic FootShape toe box that allows the toes to have enough space to exercise their natural support. You will also have a very good feeling of comfort and stability.

Outsole

The outsole of the Altra One 2.5 uses FootPOd technology that maps the bones and tendons of the foot to flex naturally. With maximum flexibility, runners will also enjoy a more responsive ride. The outsole also features blown carbon rubber that adds durability. Aside from enhancing the shoe's overall traction, it offers a flexible and responsive supportive ride.

Midsole

The midsole of the Altra One 2.5 utilizes the Dual Layer EVA that offers a reasonable amount of cushioning. This works hand-in-hand with Altra's A-Bound technology that provides efficient energy return and sufficient underfoot cushioning. It reduces ground impact and provides a springy feel with every step.

The shoe uses InnerFlex technology, allowing the foot to move freely and flex where it wants to. This increases runners' speed for better performance. Altra uses its running system technology that promotes natural foot movement by allowing the foot's mechanisms to function naturally. Natural foot motion is achievable due to the 0 mm heel drop, plus deep longitudinal grooves and metatarsal pads.

Optimal running comfort was achieved through the design that mimics the natural shape of the foot, allowing the foot to relax and extend naturally. Apart from the comfort it gives, it adds stability and speed.

Upper

The upper of the Altra One 2.5 has been updated in this version. One of the updates goes through the use of Quick Dry Air Mesh material, which is very lightweight, breathable and keeps the foot cool and dry; it also has the ability to repel water.

Another notable update on the upper is the shoe's asymmetrical lacing design, which continues the parameter of mimicking the natural shape of the foot. The lacing design offers an improved fit and feel. The shoes also use a removable 5 footbed. The footbeds were designed to help runners in need of traditional support.
