Altra Timp 5 GTX

One of Altra 's presentations during The Running Event held in Austin (USA) was the new version of the Altra Timp 5 GTX.

The Altra Timp 5 GTX will be a trail running shoe that adapts to a large profile of runners and will have a Gore-Tex membrane that will keep our feet dry and protected at all times.

What are the expectations of the new Altra Timp 5 GTX?

Altra presents one of the most versatile shoes in its catalog, ideal for running on mountain trails but that we can also use on asphalt on the camino to our trail workouts.

The shoe maintains the essence and materials of the Altra Timp 5 but with the addition of the Gore-Tex membrane, resistant to water and wind and that does not penalize an important aspect such as breathability.

The midsole will feature one of the most popular technologies of the brand, the Altra Ego Max that gives us a feeling for a luxurious and cushioned feel.

The shoe will feature a Vibram Megagrip outsole that guarantees great grip and durability on virtually any type of terrain and, especially in this model, also on wet and/or damp surfaces.

Ideal profile of the Altra Timp 5 GTX

This is a shoe designed for runners of medium to heavy weight (over 80 kg) for daily trail training, whether on dry or even wet and/or damp surfaces.

In terms of paces and distances, it is not an excessively fast shoe, more suitable for runners accustomed to running medium paces and medium distance training.

Technical specifications of the Altra Timp 5 GTX

In this section we highlight the weight of the shoe, it will weigh 331 grams in the men's version and 277 grams in the women's version.

The shoe will feature the 0 mm drop characteristic of the brand and medium profiles, located at 29 mm.

The Altra Timp 5 GTX will be a reality from the first week of January 2024 and will have a launch price of 175 euros.
