Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 is a benchmark in the market for maximum cushioning and pronation control shoes. These characteristics have allowed them to remain on the market for 18 years. This is synonymous with the fact that users have been able to appreciate the benefits of this model year after year. However, the Brooks Adrenaline 17, despite remaining an excellent shoe, did not meet the expectations of the most demanding users. And it is that a top of the range model should be asked for performance, but also design and updates.

Well, get ready, because the American brand has put its foot down and revolutionized the model. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 undergoes a radical facelift.

Who is the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 aimed at?

It is a shoe aimed at runners with medium or low arches and a weight not exceeding 80 kilograms.

Its weight finally manages to drop below 300 grams (size 95 USA) with hardly any loss of cushioning, which gives it awider audience, runners who run over 4 minutes/kilometer.

Say goodbye to that classic Adrenaline style.

This is one of the best chassis shoes on the market. And for that same reason, one of the best pronation shoes you can find today.

In terms of technologies, few changes in the midsole, what we do find is a different arrangement of its cushioning materials.

The Biomogo DNA, a compound developed by Brooks that joins the Biomogo (EVA foam) with the DNA (Gel compound that does not have a defined and constant viscosity, but varies depending on the temperature and force to which it is subjected) will monopolize much of the shoe. It is found in the external heel area, the external midfoot and the entire forefoot.

In the inner midfoot area we find an evolution of this foam but with a higher density (harder) which helps to control the overpronation movement.

New upper

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 17 started out with a classic upper, with seams... It reminded us of a rather old shoe. We're not saying it was a bad upper, but there are already enough technologies and materials on the market to replace the classic mesh and plastic with thermo-sealed and more ventilated materials that provide a better fit.

In the Brooks Adrenaline 18 we find one of the best collars on the market. The lacing adjustment is closer to the ankle (greater stability of the foot), a good buttress, plasticized side panels that you see in black that reinforce the heel and a cushioned area that wraps to the thousand wonders.

We also have a new eyelet. Their fit is simply amazing, just like we said with the Brooks Glycerin 15. It completely changes from the Adrenaline 17.
