Brooks Running presents the fourth version of its Launch family running shoe. This is a model that does not mean to throw the house out of the window as far as changes are concerned, and the American brand is still betting on introducing various improvements that represent an update of previous versions.
The premise sought in the Brooks Launch 4 focuses on achieving a more dynamic model for each race, providing more firmness and reactivity.
Along with other small adjustments, the upper of the Brooks Launch 4 is designed to provide more lightness, flexibility and support, leaving behind the excessive stiffness demonstrated in the Launch 3 And for this purpose, Brooks Running has resorted to a 3D printed upper, already used in other reference models.
The midsole of the Brooks Launch 4 still maintains the exclusive adaptive cushioning system , the BioMoGo DNA compound, adapting to the speed and weight of the runner. Although in this fourth version, the Brooks Launch features a functional and aesthetic change, centered on a heel cutout to promote natural movement.
The outsole of the Brooks Launch 4 retains the same basic pattern seen in its predecessor, the Brooks Launch 3. Although, this time, more blown rubber has been added in the forefoot area, replacing the carbon rubber rubber. With this change, the model gains more rebound capacity, although it is also detrimental to the lifespan of the shoe, which decreases slightly.
The 10 mmdrop is also unchanged, and the heel and forefoot heights are 27 mm and 17 mm respectively. The weight is around 255 grams. All in all, the Brooks Launch 4 is an ideal option for runners with neutral footstep and light-medium weight who like to run at fast paces both in training and competition. A mixed shoe to the use.
