With a long history in the design of running shoes, the American company Brooks has successfully ventured into the world of running shoes in recent decades thanks to a very important factor: they have focused on offering the athlete shoes with the best performance, which can be adapted to their style and needs. This premise has led the company to currently have a presence in around 60 countries and to position itself alongside international giants in terms of user preference.
Specifically talking about Brooks Mazama shoes, we find a trail running shoe designed for speed and optimal performance of the athlete, made with the best quality materials that reduce fatigue and maintain the breathability of the shoe at all times; all this integrated into a striking and modern design shoes.
The first thing that strikes you about these Brooks shoes is their design. With a vibrant green and black upper, this shoe is definitely an eye-catcher, even the laces are designed in the same color combination to give the shoe a more uniform style.
This upper is made of a mesh that might seem thin, but offers a good fit to the foot, as if it were a sock, but above all provides great breathability. In the heel part we find a thicker synthetic material whose function is to keep this section of the foot safe. In the front section of the shoe there is a kind of bumper that protects the toes when the shoes are used on uneven terrain.
In the midsole of the Brooks Mazama we find a 6 mmdrop that will keep the foot closer to the ground but retains good cushioning. The midsole is made of a foam specially designed by the company Brooks called BioMoGo DNA which is a soft but resistant compound that has the ability to adapt to the pressure that the athlete exerts on the shoe during the race; each athlete has their own movement patterns and pressure when running and this technology promises to adapt to these differences.
The soles of these shoes have also been designed to get the most out of the athlete's potential on trails and mountain races with a not overly technical profile. A rubber called "sticky rubber" has been used in these shoes and it seems as if the sole truly "sticks" to the terrain on which it is used, as it offers efficient traction even on wet or uneven ground. The outsole design follows different directions on the back and front of the shoe to provide better traction and extends to the toe section to facilitate braking.
Finally, it should be said that the Brooks Mazama trail running shoes are designed for fast runs and although they support use on all types of terrain, it is important to remember that their low drop will require a good running technique to avoid injury.
