The Brooks PureFlow 4 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor models, being the softest model of the collection and staying true to the philosophy of the American brand that makes it a PureProject shoe.
A shoe with a 4 mm drop, designed for runners with a neutral stride and a medium or high arch, capable of offering a good response whether you are looking for speed or comfort in your daily training sessions. As for its approximate weight, the men's model weighs 243 grams, while the women's version weighs 198 grams.
This is not a fast shoe, nor does it pretend to be. The Brooks PureFlow 4 can be suitable for both lightweight runners who want to wear it for their training sessions or to run from a half marathon to a marathon. A shoe on par with the New Balance Fresh Foam Zante, Saucony Kinvara 5 or Skechers GoRun 4.
The midsole of the PureFlow 4 remains unchanged, as it continues to employ the BioMoGo DNA material to offer you better responsiveness and cushioning, while allowing natural running form adapting to the needs of each runner. On the other hand, this shoe has an excellent rebound favoring at all times the transition during the stride.
The most significant changes in this PureFlow 4 shoe are found in its upper. On the one hand, it incorporates Nav Band technology, a flexible band that wraps the foot around the midfoot to help hold it in place. On the other hand, the anatomical design has been improved, imitating the shape of the foot, resulting in the sensation of wearing a glove.
The sole incorporates Toe Flex technology with more space and freedom in the toe box, allowing the big toe to function independently and the rest of the metatarsals to move more naturally, while promoting balance and toe-off during running.
