Brooks PureGrit 3

The Brooks PureGrit 3 is a very lightweight trail running shoe for technically undemanding terrain. But it is not a shoe for every runner. It is a model suitable for a good running technique as it favors the midfoot stride due to its low drop and low cushioning. It is ideal for a proper transition to a natural running style.

The essence is the same as in the Brooks PureGrit 2, i.e. lightness and natural stride. But in this model all the technological improvements of the American brand have been added.

They have a 4 mm drop (18 mm in the heel and 14 mm in the forefoot) but it is a shoe that fits very well and is really comfortable and you could use it for runs on tracks and trails at good paces and runs of up to 15-20 km.

They are designed for midfoot landing. That's why Brooks has placed in that area a protection plate that they have called Ballistic rock that promises energy return thanks to its increased cushioning and reactivity in that area.

The outsole has been modified from the previous model for a hexagonal one that improves grip, although it is not its strong point.

It is a shoe that as we said fits very well and does not leave too much room for the toes, which is a bit contradictory to the idea of a more natural way of running. It is a last of reduced width but without overwhelming the foot. Reinforcements have been added to the heel to protect the foot in the more technical areas and the upper is made of breathable but not water-repellent materials.
