With its well-defined hallmarks, giving priority tocushioning, stability, flexibility and agility, the Ravenna family has positioned itself as one of the star models of the American firm for mild to moderate overpronators. In its latest version, specifically the seventh, Brooks has sought to improve the response of the model as a valid option for long distance training, and even to cover with guarantees the distance of a marathon in competition.
The technologies present in the Ravenna 7 hardly vary with respect to its predecessor, the Ravenna 6. Thus, the new Brooks model continues to guarantee a comfortable and efficient stride, which is determined by its high energy return, perfect arch support and ultra-fast transitions. All in all, the Brooks Ravenna 7 does not lose any of this dynamism, which favors the natural movement of the foot.
As in the Brooks Ravenna 9, stability is provided by the Progressive Diagonal Rollbar support to correct excessive pronation. In addition, in the midfoot, a TPU piece provides rigidity in the torsion section. The midsole once again features the BioMoGo DNA system for adaptive cushioning. Omega Flex Grooves enhance the flexibility of the model.
As in its previous model, the most relevant changes in the Ravenna 7 are located in its upper. With the idea of increasing functionality, and not neglecting the aesthetics of a more elegant and modern design, it has been decided to incorporate a more breathable mesh.
The Ravenna 7 also includes a new structure of adjustment of the foot in the part of the heel, and which allows better adjustment in the instep area with the laces. The forefoot tends to be simplified, and still retains the heat-sealed elements. However, the toe cap has been optimized in order to provide a better response.
In terms of technical specifications, the parameters remain unchanged from its predecessor. The Ravenna 7 continues to feature a 10-millimeter drop with a weight of 303 grams for size 425 EU in the men's version, and 249 grams for size 39 EU, in the women's model.
