Brooks Transcend 3

The flagship top-of-the-line shoe for overpronators is the Brooks Transcend 3 And the model has undergone a radical change compared to the Brooks Transcend 2, probably with the intention of finding its place in a fierce fight with models that for years and consolidated image in the market are ahead of it.

The main change will be found in the shape of the base of the shoe. On the one hand it does not have double density as for example the Brooks Glycerin 13, but it has been given a much greater base of support in the internal part of the shoe and also a greater support structure on that side.

Added to the midsole are 2 rails that we see in black just above the white foam. They run the length of the shoe. Brooks has named them Guide Trails and they are made of a harder and firmer foam. Their function is to keep the foot locked in and prevent it from moving laterally.

It has managed to minimize that "clunky" shoe feeling and now the transition is smoother with a more reliable support that helps you keep your body position well aligned and avoids unnecessary movements.

Brooks has also looked for the concept of comfort. Something that other gears have already done and have made a flag of it as Skechers. They have called it Cushion Me. A concept that is based on achieving softer and more comfortable shoes when you wear them.

With these Transcend 3 shoes, the floating experience is maximized thanks to the Super DNA, but without endangering the joints or stability. The brand has worked every movement of the foot in the tread by locating the Ideal pressure zones to disperse the impact towards those guide rails that act as support and prevent uncontrolled movements.

Super DNA is the foam found in the midsole (the white part) and according to its manufacturers offers 25% more cushioning than DNA BioMoGo in addition to providing a greater energy return in each stride...

New Upper

The upper also changes radically. It is now composed of a kind of inner skeleton that wraps around the foot. And on top of that, a mesh that is hard and quite compact to the touch, which in addition to providing greater durability, also gives the foot more flex.

The fit is also achieved thanks to a plasticized lacing that nevertheless perfectly wraps the instep.

The collar of the shoe is very well padded and has a pleasant feel.

The heel area is also protected by a plastic structure that simulates an 8 on one side and keeps the calcaneus supported and protected.
