Brooks Trance lovers, you can now say goodbye to your long-awaited shoe. But don't be sad and let's welcome the Brooks Transcend. The top of the range shoe in stability is renewed and this time it does it from top to bottom, changing even the name.

The Brooks Transcend is unlike any stability shoe you've seen before. For years, Brooks has been working to find shoes that improve performance and reduce the risk of injury. To do this, they try to better understand the biomechanics of the running body.

Each of us has unique joint geometry, ligament flexibility, muscle strength and movement patterns. In short, everyone has a different way of running. Instead of trying to find the "right" way to run and trying to "fix" what's wrong, Brooks wants to optimize the way each of us run by making it more natural.

The goal of this shoe is to maintain body alignment. To get the runner to run in the most natural and protected way at the same time.

Too much midsole stiffness or too much stabilization may not actually aid in proper stride execution. Brooks has developed a new technology that is able to redirect the foot if you tend to pronate thanks to a series of rails that run throughout the shoe. However, if your stride is neutral, these rails do not affect the transition. The shoe should act in harmony with the body, offering support only when needed, which helps improve performance and efficiency while reducing the risk of injury.

Key Features

The Brooks Transcend features 5 key technologies that work together to provide your unique ride:

1 . Super DNA. Their new foam formula that Brooks has developed specifically for this shoe is called Super DNA and is supposed to offer 25 percent more cushioning than traditional EVAfoams. It alsohas the ability to adapt and respond to individual stride characteristics.

2. Guide Rails. Plates integrated into the midsole that change the way we understand traditional stability by allowing your hips, knees and joints to move throughout the execution of the tread correctly.

3. Ideal pressure zones in the sole. It aims to distribute pressure evenly across the heel, midfoot and forefoot.

4 . Ideal Heel. Allows for a more natural, smoother heel impact and a smoother transition to the midfoot.

5. Upper - a combination of high quality materials that fit the foot in a narrow last that conveys full protection.
