The Hoka One One Speedgoat has enhanced outsole and midsole features to adapt to the technical terrain of mountain running. With an outsole specifically designed for trails, they bring with them aggressive lug features for superior grip and flexible patterns, which maintain stability at all times. Thus, these shoes are ideal for runners looking for a shoe for light training on difficult terrain.
It is not only the modern color combination that makes these trail running shoes attractive, but also the technologies used for the construction of their upper. The mesh covering the entire upper offers a good level of breathability and a constant airflow that keeps the feet cool at all times.
The seamless construction allows for a softer interior that prevents discomfort and possible injury, and in addition to this, the shoe has a slightly wider toe box, allowing the toes to move without rubbing excessively against the interior, while still keeping them secure.
The synthetic materials and microfibers used in the upper provide a firmer construction that serves as a means of support for the foot, without sacrificing the comfort and softness of the entire structure. The upper also features a rubber protector in the toe section, which prevents stones or irregularities in the terrain from hurting the foot.
Being a shoe in the maximalist line, we find a midsole of 28 millimeters in the forefoot section and 33 millimeters in the heel area. This midsole is made of EVA foam injected in a single layer, which, in addition to being more durable, also provides remarkable cushioning.
With this midsole, the runner will be able to feel a comfortable and smooth stride on the most uneven terrain, and this without losing the flexibility that the shoe needs to adapt to these terrains, and allows to maintain a certain level of trail feel.
Along with the midsole, theBalanced Stage Meta-Rocker Geometry technology has been implemented, which is a system specially designed to increase running efficiency, allowing a smoother transitionin the movement of the foot from the moment it touches the ground to the moment of take-off.
The Vibram Megagrip technology that has been placed on the soles of the Hoka One One Speedgoat features more aggressive lugs with a tooth-like appearance and grooves that allow the shoe to flex, maintainingtraction and stability on all types of terrain, primarily on uneven surfaces.
In general terms, these are shoes with a striking and modern design, ideal for use in mild to medium training on uneven terrain, which will provide excellent stability, cushioning, traction and comfort regardless of the conditions of the race.
