Photos Joma Carrera 2014
1 / 1The Joma Carrera 2014 are all-road shoes, that is to say that they adapt to all types of terrain, asphalt and dirt tracks. It maintains the features of the 2013 model and continues to target medium/high weight runners who need protection and stability.
It is recommended for long distance training and runners with neutral or slight pronation.
Its main feature is cushioning. The excellent shock absorption is achieved through Joma's usual Pulsor system, consisting of two elements: the gel inserted in the midsole and a new gel in the heel.
In the heel area a phylon part of the midsole is replaced by gel, with the same characteristics as the Pulsor System.
The location of this part absorbs the impact independently of other parts of the foot, thus controlling the stride thanks to its excellent stability.
Great stability and control
Stability is achieved thanks to a rigid PVC piece in the plantar arch area (stabilis), but wider than the piece used in the Joma Hispalis 2014. Also due to the density of the Phylon closer to the sole, which is a little denser than the upper Phylon, and the PRESSURE CONTROL system in the upper.
PRESSURE CONTROL is the design of the upper in the shank area is designed so that when you tighten the laces, the upper adjusts the shoe to the foot.
It can be seen on the inside of the shoe, in the microfiber lines that open from the laces to the midsole.
The last is not wide and fits very well, especially on narrower feet.
Outsole
The sole is made of two different rubber treatments. Vulcanized rubber with greater abrasion resistance than the rubber used in the midfoot flexion area is used in the parts that support the ground (heel, outer sides and toe). This is expanded rubber with less weight and greater cushioning, which makes the shoe more comfortable and boosts the stride.
In the forefoot we find 3 flexion lines (one more than in the Hispalis 2014) that provides flexibility and helps in the take-off of the stride thanks to its good response.
The shoe is equipped with a guide from the Pulsor system to almost toe height, which helps to make the stride execution as controlled as possible.
