One of Joma 's best performing shoes gets a new look. Joma Híspalis 2014 arrives with some new features such as its striking design, or its weight reduction.
But its style remains unchanged. It is indicated for runners of medium-high weight up to 85 kg for training at slower paces of 4:30 m/km.
Its hallmark is its good stability and cushioning with a weight that has been reduced to 307 grams.
Designed for neutral runners.
The upper (area that surrounds the instep and toes) is made of ultra-light microfiber and with good ventilation.
The last is wide, perfect for flat feet, which allows for toe mobility.
In the central part, the alignment of the lacing with the microfiber pieces allows the correct fit and support; and in the heel, the inner buttress is reinforced to provide greater rigidity and prevent strange movements of the foot.
The Achilles heel is protected by a foam lining that hugs the heel while supporting the foot and preventing chafing injuries, and the laces fit very well thanks to the semi-flat laces. An aspect that improves considerably compared to the 2013 version.
Lateral reinforcements in Ultralight Microfiber that hold the foot movement.
Forefoot protection that protects the toenail and avoids the deterioration of the nylon. The inner cavity is designed following the 360º system of the brand by which the last and sole have rounded shapes that simulate the natural curvature.
The outsole is composed of two types of phylon of different densities. The upper (gray and white) is less dense and softer.
The second is firmer and harder, which helps to minimize the impact of the foot strike, offering better stability.
The flexibility of the shoe has also been improved thanks to the FLEXO system. It consists of 2 flex grooves in the forefoot that also help boost toe-off.
It is also a shoe that provides control thanks to its well-known STABILIS PVC piece located in the midfoot area that prevents the shoe from flexing in the central part, in an unnatural way.
The heel flex lines allow only the area where the most pressure is produced to be deformed when planting the heel, making the rest of the sole independent.
Two types of studs, smaller in the central part for greater support surface and adherence to the ground and larger around the perimeter to provide stability.
The Joma Hispalis 2014 stands out for its cushioning. Ample, not rubbery but comfortable. They get it both by the 2 types of phylon and by the PULSOR SYSTEM. It is located in the axis of the sole and absorbs the first impact, the strongest. In the same axis, Joma places a triangular piece of stiffer phylon that corrects excess deformation.
