The Hispalis family is the great reference of the Spanish firm Joma in training shoes. In its new Fall Winter 2014 collection we find its latest novelty, the XVI version, which has been completely renewed, reinforcing its own hallmarks such as: flexibility, cushioning and protection.

To begin by highlighting its many new features, we must take a closer look at its sole. The Hispalis XVI has been designed to accentuate its flexion system in order to achieve a progressive, cleaner and more natural transition. Thus, the sole is made up of four flexion lines, from the toe to the shank (the narrowest area of the sole between the sole and the heel).

The Stabilis System technology, a PVC piece that allows independent forefoot and rearfoot movements, not only prevents undue flexion, but also provides good stability for runners of medium to heavy weight.

Another important transformation of the new Hispalis XVI is its weight, which has been reduced to 312 grams. The heel also has two very marked flexion lines that contribute to a more noticeable fit and support. The deformation, derived from the runner's own weight, that the shoe suffers in the heel area is no longer produced in the upper, but in the sole itself.

More enhanced cushioning

If the flexibility section is a section that differentiates the Hispalis XVI from the rest, the cushioning is equally important. In this new version, cushioning is reinforced by the combination of various materials and technical systems.

This model features Joma's exclusive Blow Up material, incorporated in the midsole to favor impulse and recover the shape. To which we must add the Full Dual Pulsor technology, a double phylon system of high and low density, capable of optimizing the tread on any terrain on which it is walked.

Undoubtedly, the longitudinal division of the sole is the star design element that provides maximum cushioning. The sole grooves themselves expand with the stride, support the weight of the runner and recover their shape with the momentum of each stride.

With all these features, the Hispalis XVI is designed as a training shoe for runners with a neutral stride and medium to heavy weight. Its drop is 12 millimeters.
