Joma Sierra 2017

The Joma Sierra 2017 is the bet of the Spanish brand for a trail shoe for competition. Aimed attrail runners of medium or even high weight, it has a 10 mmdrop and performs perfectly inmedium-high difficulty terrain. The Sierra has been developed to excel in routes with lots of rocks, stones and demanding terrain.

The last of the Joma Sierra is made of nylon and maximum breathability has been sought with micro-suede throughout the upper. The brand has included stitched reinforcements in the toe area to protect the toes and TPU welded in the same area to resist shocks.

Abundant but firm cushioning

Joma has introduced a ventilation system called VTS to keep the temperature of the foot constant. The heel incorporates a system with FIX COUNTER technology that provides support and stability on uneven surfaces.

The entire last of the Joma Sierra is protected by a mesh that prevents the entry of small stones or other external elements and incorporates a pocket on the tongue to store the laces.

The insole is made of pre-molded EVA adjusted to the shape of the foot for greater comfort.

The midsole is made of natural EVA. Its cushioning is abundant but firm, helping to absorb the impact of landing.

In the midsole of the new Sierra Spring 2017 we also find 2 pieces of Phylon, one glued to the last and that provides cushioning, and another firmer rear piece that prevents deformation of the piece of Phylon that cushions.

The sole is made of rubber with high abrasion resistance. The lugs have a different arrangement in the front part, with deeper lugs to favor uphill grip and a rear pattern for downhill grip.
