Upper features

The upper of these shoes features Gore-TEX technology, which is a fabric that offers maximum durability and protection, as it is a very resistant fiber. Thanks to the qualities of this fabric, the shoes can offer waterproofing and breathability; the union of the fibers prevents water from penetrating the shoe, but at the same time facilitates that the perspiration that our feet produce inside is expelled, thus keeping our feet in a dry and fresh environment.

The shoes have a TPU protector that surrounds the entire contour of the shoe for added protection. Between the upper and the inner lining of the shoe, just on the sides of the shoe, there are cables that connect directly to the lacing system of the shoe and allow the midfoot tension to be adjusted for a customized fit. The round laces feature a quick lacing system for a more secure fit.

In order to make the shoes more stable and provide greater durability, the STB Control System is used, in which the upper materials are bonded directly to the midsole of the shoe; this not only provides greater stability but also improves the fit.

A PU TechLite toe cap provides additional protection, especially when the shoe is used for climbing. This rubber material is highly abrasion resistant without adding additional weight to the shoe.

Midsole

The midsole of the La Sportiva TX3 GTX features injected EVA rubber which offers greater cushioning and elasticity than molded EVA rubber; this is how the midsole of these shoes is more efficient at absorbing the impact of contact with the surface, making it ideal for keeping the foot protected when running on uneven surfaces.

Another feature of this midsole is its high memory capacity, which makes the rubber adapt to the pressure exerted by the foot at different times during the race and return to its original condition when the pressure is removed, thus preventing the midsole from becoming compacted over time and the shoe from losing its cushioning characteristics.

Outsole

The outsole is made with Vibram Megagrip technology, which is a material that offers excellent grip both on dry terrain and on wet or greasy surfaces. To make the soles more versatile, the Impact Brake system has been added. This innovative system absorbs the negative energy produced during impact, offering greater traction and grip, especially when walking uphill or downhill.

The position in which the lugs have been distributed allows as many of them as possible to come into contact with the surface during the tread, absorbing impacts more efficiently.
