La Sportiva Wild Cat 3.0

The third version of the Wild Cat model from La Sportiva has been designed to run on any terrain, being perfect for training and long routes thanks to its high comfort. A versatile trail running shoe with 360 grams of weight and 12 mm drop.

A priori they are focused for all types of trail runners, from beginners to experts, with an average constitution who wish to perform medium and long distance training in mainly technical mountainous terrain and at rather slow paces.

Midsole

Its 12 mm drop denotes a model designed for long distances, where a certain comfort and protection for the feet will be necessary. The midsole lacks flexibility and cushioning is provided by a layer of injected EVA foam. This good protection and cushioning penalizes the feeling on the ground when running in the mountains.

Upper

The upper of the La Sportiva Wild Cat 3.0 features minimal stitching and reinforced toe cap and sides against wear and tear. The lacing system with loops distributes tension evenly along its length, providing an even tighter fit, while the wide inner last provides extra comfort. The downside is that the upper is not waterproof, so if you step in any puddle you will end up getting your feet wet, although they dry very quickly.

Outsole

The Impact Brake System sole provides maximum grip and shock absorption. Special attention has been paid to reducing the volume of the toe cap, thus reducing the overall weight of the Wild Cat 3.0. The Frixion system combines resistance and grip. Depending on the color (blue, green or red), it will have different properties, some with more grip and less durability, and vice versa. In short, it is a superb sole whichever way you look at it.
