The Merrell Mix Master shoes are minimalist all road shoes. That is, designed to leave home on asphalt and reach the mountain.
They stand out for their lightness and flexibility. They have a 4mm drop. They incorporate MerrellAir Cushion technology, a midsole that offers, in each step, the necessary compression to absorb up to four times the weight of the body, while providing stability.
They have a tongue designed to prevent dirt from entering from the outside and incorporate reflective details that increase visibility in low light conditions.
Despite being minimalist, its 4 mm drop provides just the right amount of cushioning and reactive cushioning to favor a fast stride with some protection.
The Mix Master Tuff features a Merrell Float?* midsole that is 10% thinner and 25% lighter to provide more control and more ground contact. It also incorporates a 1 mm thermoplastic insert that distributes pressure throughout the foot to avoid discomfort if we get unevenness along the way.
The outsole is made of sticky rubber with 3.5 mm lugs.
In practice, the Mix Master Tuff with its 4mm drop and 12mm cush, offers greater protection than its sister the Mix Master 2 (4mm drop and 9mm cush). In addition, the Mix Master Tuff has a reinforced contour to offer extra protection against impacts, wear and the inclemencies that may arise when practicing trail running, while maintaining the flexibility and lightness of minimalist footwear.
