With a comfortable and lightweight construction, running shoes from the New Balance line have gained popularity in recent years, thanks to the balance they have managed to find between a modern design without losing the essence of the brand, along with the necessary technical features to facilitate the runner's performance in each race.
The New Balance 780 V5 is an ideal shoe for training, long runs and asphalt terrains, with a thick cushioning in its 12 mm drop and with a series of improvements in relation to its predecessors. This fifth installment of the New Balance 780 has the following features.
These shoes become an excellent ally in long distances and this is due to the different technologies that New Balance has implemented both in the sole and midsole.
In the case of the outsole, this has been divided into two types of materials, first we find a rubber that offers a very good traction to the shoe, which has been combined with the Ndurance rubber that protects this part of the shoe from wear. This mixture allows a resistant outsole that will withstand very well the constant use and at the same time provides a good grip of the shoe on the ground, even in the wet.
In the midsole we have the ABZORB system that offers a good dispersion of foot strikes on the ground and transfers energy through the shoe to allow the athlete a smoother stride and a more powerful start. Added to this is a standard EVA foam layer that runs the entire length of the shoe for effective cushioning.
One thing that has been improved in this New Balance 780 V5 running shoe over the previous version is the fit of the upper. One notable modification is that they have added fewer overlays in the midfoot and forefoot area, which allows the shoe to better adapt to the shape of the athlete's foot; despite this, the layers that have been retained still maintain a good midfoot fit and give more room inside the shoe.
In the heel area a thicker layer has been added to better cover this section of the foot. If we were talking about more space inside the shoe, with this protection in the heel a safe movement will be maintained during the race.
In the upper, a synthetic mesh covers most of the shoe and allows a better ventilation of the shoe avoiding overheating. On the inside, the traditional New Balance insole has been maintained, which allows for greater cushioning of the foot and prevents sweating. Both the collar and tongue are made of soft and padded materials to maintain the runner's comfort.
The New Balance 780 V5 shoes are designed to give a very good response to the demands of long distance races or as training companions for everyday use.
