The New Balance 860 v14 is a running shoe that perfectly combines stability and cushioning during our daily running training.
Key features of the New New Balance 860 v14
New Balance is one of the brands that has a wider catalog of running shoes and that adapts to all profiles of runners, in the case of this model, it is designed for all those who need extra stability and support during their workouts.
The upper features an engineered mesh that stands out for its lightness and breathability, with a material made with the same quality as a shoe very similar to this model, the New Balance Fresh Foam X Vongo v6.
The midsole presents interesting new features, starting with one of the most popular and outstanding technologies of the brand, the Fresh Foam X foam that, in this model, is presented with improvements, with a softer and more cushioned upper layer and a lower part with a little more density and firmness to provide that stability that characterizes this shoe.
The great novelty of the midsole is between the two layers of Fresh Foam X, since a thin EVA foam is introduced to provide a really comfortable and stable running experience.
It should be noted that in this new version, the Fresh Foam X foam has approximately a 3 % content of biological origin, which gives us a better experience when running with the shoe, with a greater cushioning that provides more comfort.
The shoe incorporates Stability Plane technology that gives us greater performance and the stability we need without compromising the cushioning and comfort of the platform under our feet.
The outsole also presents great news, since it has a totally different design in which the vertical grooves present in the front part stand out with a greater presence of rubber in those areas of greater support with the surface.
Ideal profile of the New Balance 860 v14
It is a shoe that is designed for those runners who tend to pronate slightly and need a shoe that gives them extra stability during their daily running workouts.
Light, even medium weight runners (over 75 kilos) will be able to get the most out of this shoe's performance and will be able to run short to medium distances without any problems thanks to its new midsole design.
As for the technical specifications of the shoe. The weight is 309 grams in the men's version (size 95 US) and 241 grams in the women's version (size 7 US). The drop is modified with respect to the previous versions (10 mm) as it is now 8 mm, a drop with greater presence in the market than the previous drop, ideal for running comfortably on asphalt.
