Although they are not among the most popular Running shoes of the American brand, the New Balance 880 v8 are one of the references for all those runners who demand pronation control and stability. As a hallmark of this saga, the latest version follows the philosophy of delivering what they promise: cushioning, safety, stability, comfort and durability. Thus, its evolution is embodied more in its upper, which is more adaptable and breathable than in previous versions.
These New Balance 880 v8 do not break away from that classic label, being a running shoe that maintains the 10-millimeterdrop, but, nevertheless, the model is able to offer a better footstrike dynamics, being more agile, in addition to presenting an outsole that adapts to all types of surfaces and conditions.
With all this, these new New Balance 880v8 arrive with the goal of becoming bestsellers in the concept of shoes that provide support, very good cushioning dynamics, responsiveness and durability.
New Balance 880v8 vs 880v7 Differences
New Balance, in comparison to its predecessor the 880 V7, has slightly sharpened the lateral area and improved flexibility in the forefoot - but what remains unchanged is the essence of its feel. New Balance has managed to find the key in both the New Balance 890v6 (for neutrals) and this 880V8 (pronation) becoming New Balance bestsellers worldwide.
World champion 3 steeplechase athleteEmma Coburn from the USA raves about the New Balance 880 v8: "I love the 880v8 because it's my workhorse. I wear this model of New Balance, at least 4-5 times a week, every week, and for the past 5 years. I've logged miles miles over the years with my 880s, and when I put them on, I'm confident that my body will be happy for the entire run." Word of mouth from a pro-size athlete.
Midsole
The same midsole is very similar to its predecessor the New Balance 880v7 but this time with added cushioning and resilience. The geometries of the shoe have also been worked on and adjusted to achieve better reactivity and cushioning. The 880v8 is designed for long runs, providing enough cushioning, control and comfort to make it an essential shoe in your running wardrobe.
Upper
The design of the upper or front part of the foot provides a lot of freedom to the toes and gains in flexibility. In the midfoot area on both sides of the foot we find a 3D resin print that together with the eyelet provides an optimal fit.
The upper is made of engineered mesh for durability and comfort.
Outsole
The outsole layout is the same as the New Balance 880v7. Different forefoot flex grooves allow for great flexibility. Made of rubber of different densities for durability and comfort while running.
The outsole is made of blown rubber. It provides excellent grip and good durability, in addition to ensuring a controlled foot strike transition in the search for greater stability.
Excellent responsive cushioning
TruFuse midsole is highly responsive, with long-travel cushioning.
