New Balance Fresh Foam Gobi is the versatile bet of the American brand. When we talk about versatile we refer to an all-road shoe. You can use it to run on asphalt or on gravel or pebble tracks or paths.
Although some media attribute the Gobi name to be ambiguous in meaning, this is not the case. New Balance Fresh Foam Gobi is a nod to the desert that bears the same name. And not because they are "shoes" for running in desert terrain, but precisely because the Gobi desert is an amalgam of different terrains: mountain, sand, stone? Just what this model offers us, to be able to enjoy different terrains without having to use different shoes.
We highlight its sole. New Balance has incorporated a one-piece sole that has a lugged that will offer great grip on asphalt and safety on terrain such as gravel, loose stone tracks that are not overly technical.
The midsole is also one-piece with its Fresh Foam technology. New Balance has already used it in other models such as the Fresh Foam Hierro.
The cushioning is generous, responsive and stable.
The upper does not have a single seam and also has good reinforcements in the toe area.
New Balance joins the trend launched some season ago by brands such as Salomon with its X Scream
