Introducing the New Balance Fresh Foam Hierro v2, a shoe that changes radically, for the better.
The first and most important change comes from the outsole, where we find a series of pentagon and hexagon-shaped lugs that ensure excellent grip.
The lugs are larger3.8 mm deep) and are more widely spaced so we gain traction and durability is contrasted by Vibram.
The midsole also incorporates the Fresh Foam foam already used by many models of the brand ( New Balance Fresh Foam Zante v2, New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v6, New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo, New Balance Fresh Foam Gobi). A material that ensures excellent cushioning, firm but without being hard.
The upper of the New Balance Fresh Foam Hierro v2 is seamless, with good reinforcements in the toe area, but without the roughness of the first edition. They incorporate thermosealed protections and breathable mesh.
New Balance has opted for flat laces that ensure a very good grip and a great fit thanks to eyelets that perfectly wrap the foot. This is taken care of by the Meta-Lock system that wraps the upper tightly. The tongue is attached at the sides and is soft.
The fit is excellent, but not everyone likes this. For fast, technical short or medium distance races they are great. If you are looking for shoes for ultras and you like a little more room in the last we recommend half a size up.
