The American firm New Balance renews its catalog of Running shoes during this first quarter of the year with the new model Fresh Foam Zante, a fast shoe with a soft, light and flexible body, which already saw the light and had a limited edition for the Seville Marathon 2015.
The New Balance Fresh Foam Zante is a shoe weighing 214 grams in its men's version and 187 grams in the women's model, focused for daily intensive training at rather brisk paces or for competition. With a 6 mmdrop to provide a better transition, it is aimed at runners with a neutral or supinator stride and a light or medium build who are looking for support in the mid-forefoot area of the shoe.
The upper of this Fresh Foam Zante features a breathable mesh and bootie construction for a better fit and support in the most needed spots with an elegant and technical result that gives it a lifestyle touch. In addition, the upper has been made with the FantomFit system, fusing lightweight materials to free it from seams and minimize friction when running. The combination of colors makes the design quite eye-catching.
The only material used in the construction of the midsole is the soft, comfortable and stable foam called Fresh Foam Lite. Among the many benefits of this compound are a lighter feel, cushioning, softness, stability and responsiveness for a livelier feel during the run.
Another strong point of the Fresh Foam Zante is its new VL-6 last, together with a 6 mmdrop and a more reactive toe cap with a slight upward curvature to achieve a better and faster transition from the heel to the metatarsal area.
A lightweight, solid, one-piece sole incorporating unique hexagonal geometries distributed differently across the length and width of the sole depending on the impact it will withstand. In those areas prone to higher impact and pressure, the hexagons are of a larger size for extended durability, while the areas of lower impact and greater stability, the dimension of these geometric shapes is smaller.
