This new Newton Kismet is a "delicatessen" shoe that you fall in love with from the first moment you take it out of the box, they are very well finished and there are numerous technical details such as its 360o reflectivity, a strategically perforated upper and a magnificent inner lining that achieves in addition to a good fit, transfer very good feelings of the new propulsion system. A different system depending on the objective of the shoe that through the arrangement of 5 lugs or "Lugs" that mimic the anatomical arrangement of the metatarsals allows you to work on your running technique at the same time as you train.
It is a sensitive model but at the same time with enough stability and comfort, with a reduced drop of 45 millimeters and 274 grams; a less aggressive model than those I have been able to test from Newton years ago. With this Kismet you can work on your running technique by prioritizing midfoot support and facilitating propulsion, but all this in a smoother and more stable way. A model that arrives in Europe with the award for the best functional renovation of autumn 2014 awarded by the American Association "Fortius Group".
Newton based in Boulder (Colorado) has been committed since its inception by the natural movement of the foot when running trying to favor the support of the midfoot but not from the pure minimalism but applying technology that facilitates on the one hand the forefoot impulsion but in turn paying special attention to protect the metatarsal area. Today, all its models offer technological innovations that improve the stability and propulsion of the foot of the user who is looking for a different kind of shoe.
