The Nike Free 3.0 Men's Running Running shoes is designed for runners looking for a different way to run than the more traditional concept, with an flexible, ultra-low midsole that offers the advantages of a more natural stride with a minimalist design.
The flex groove design, with deep grooves throughout the midsole, enhances a more natural freedom of movement, promotes a more relaxed stride transition, and helps maintain stability.
The ultra-low midsole offers a 4 mm offset between heel and forefoot height for an incredibly flexible and natural ride. In addition, the Phylite midsole material is durable enough to serve as an outsole, which significantly reduces the weight of the Running shoes.
Made with ultra-breathable Engineered Mesh that offers a dynamic sock-like fit, but allows for quick on and off.
After realizing that a group of Stanford runners had been training barefoot on the university's golf campo, three of Nike s most innovative and creative employees decided to develop a Running shoes that would provide a form of running as close to barefoot as possible while being lightweight and comfortable, seeking a natural feel. In 2002, they tested a group of men and women using pressure-measuring insoles attached to their feet and high-speed cameras to capture images of the feet in motion.
After 8 years of studying the biomechanical aspects of running without Running shoes, the results provided an in-depth understanding of the natural landing in the foot's motion when executing the stride, as well as the pressure and position of the toes, which gave Nike designers the opportunity to create an unconventional, highly flexible Running shoes from scratch.
