The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 31 arrives like every year and this time with almost no noise. Surely with the most revolutionary redesign in recent years in search of a lighter, faster shoe and leaving aside its "soft" cushioning for a firmer one that provides greater stability.

The Pegasus 31 has been endorsed by 2 Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah, with whom they have worked on the design and testing of the shoes. According to the athlete himself, he needed a lighter and more stable shoe for his long-distance training.

And the change is so important that they have even reduced the drop, something untouchable in the Vomero and Pegasus range. It goes from the traditional 13 mm to 10 mm, in search of something more natural in the stride and above all with the intention of reducing the weight of the shoe. They also incorporate a new, much more ergonomic upper made of lightweight mesh with seamless overlays that fits especially well. Its high quality foam cushioning maintains the Zoom Air unit in the heel but its firmness and reactivity has been improved thanks to a traction fiber system that forms small pressurized air chambers that deform on landing impact but quickly recovers its original shape helping in the transition of the foot strike.

Main new features of the Nike Pegasus 31

  • Specially engineered mesh upper for ventilation, support and comfort
  • Cushlon foam midsole with Nike Zoom unit in the heel for soft, efficient cushioning
  • Reduced midsole offset for more natural freedom of movement (10 mm drop)
  • Waffle-design rubber outsole with a lateral articulated rail for increased traction and durability and smooth transition
  • Deep flex grooves and a cross rocker sole in the forefoot for flexibility and responsiveness
  • Weight: 300 grams (for a 44 EU men's size)
  • Raised toe cap for easy toe-off, built from the curvature of the toe.

Type runners for this shoe

Designed for long runs at speeds slower than 4m/km . Runners weighing 70 to 85 kg. Neutral stride but looking for some stability with the passage of km.
