Finding the right shoes is always a challenge. When trail running first started there were only a handful of good options available; a lot has changed since the early days, now there are so many options that we often can barely process that much information. If we are looking for a shoe with good cushioning, a great amount of traction, and good drainage system; there is one model worth checking out and taking into consideration for the next purchase, the Reebok All Terrain Thrill, a shoe capable of providing all the features neutral runners deserve to experience on the trails.

Sizing and fit

The All Terrain Thrill have a standard running shoe length. They come in sizes that adhere to regular sizes for men and women. The width of this shoe is medium, allowing those with average sized feet to acclimate well to them. Their semi-curved shape follows the natural curvature of the human foot, so they custom fit the characteristics of each runner.

Outsole

The material used for the outsole of these shoes protects the rest of the platform from the damaging effects of surface friction and continuous wear. Debris could also cause some damage, so this outsole is able to give an excellent protective and safety response from any terrain.

One feature that stands out on the outsole of these shoes are the grip lugs which are square in shape and are prominent throughout the outsole of the Reebok All Terrain Thrill. In this way they deliver a multi-surface grip that is responsive and reliable.

Midsole

These shoes have a midsole that uses a long-lasting foam called Injection Molded Ethylene Vinyl Acetate or IMEVA. It provides effective cushioning on a variety of surfaces, certainly keeps the foot comfortable throughout the run without feeling the effects of landing or the uneven nature of the terrain.

H20 drains between the midsole and outsole keep water out of the shoe, when the runner is traversing wet surfaces, these drains ensure that the platform will not become uncomfortable with the presence of retained water. A rock guard defends the athlete from uneven surfaces or debris that could cause injury. The material is durable and capable of fulfilling the purpose of providing protection.

Lightweight upper

The upper mesh material is lightweight and secure. It wraps around the foot perfectly, but not without making it feel too restricted. It also has a durable nature, so it is able to withstand the negative effects of exposure to hard trails and debris.

A heel clip locks the back of the foot and holds it in place, thus preventing interior slippage and a feeling of instability, an antimicrobial lining makes sure to keep the inner foot chamber as clean and healthy as possible.

With these features incorporated into the Reebok All Terrain Thrill, a shoe capable of withstanding the irregularities and demands of trail running is achieved, without neglecting the comfort that the runner needs in these terrains.
