The recent participation of Salming in the design of running shoes has already left some editions that have gained favor among users, one of them is the Salming Distance, a shoe that as its name suggests is designed for long distances at fast paces.
The Salming Distance 4 is precisely the fourth edition of this shoe in which many of the good features that have pleased users are maintained; its drop remains low5 millimeters), allowing a good feeling of the terrain, but maintaining some cushioning for the foot.

The main change we will see in this shoe with respect to previous editions is the use of an upper with a more reinforced construction and better ventilation. The materials have been changed to provide a more porous texture that facilitates the passage of air into the interior.
The Exo Skeleton technology that was in the second layer of upper material in previous versions has now moved to the outer layer and will be visible in the upper of the shoe. It is a synthetic material reinforcement with a rib cage-like design, which provides a better structure to the shoe and supports the foot to correct lateral movements.
In the toe and heel area there are also some additional reinforcements that keep the foot protected and provide durability to the shoe.
The low drop of these shoes is designed to provide the most natural stride possible while running, but also offers good cushioning. For the construction of the midsole, the same design and materials of the previous editions are maintained, with the incorporation of RunLite technology, a rubber compound that improves the reactivity of the footprint.
This system designed by the firm for the Salming Distance 4 promises a better absorption of the negative energy produced during impact and distributes it across the surface to create a positive energy that impulse the foot in a better way, achieving a more fluid stride and therefore facilitating the possibility of achieving greater speed.
The soles of these shoes make use of different technologies that adapt to specific areas of the foot and provide greater durability, resistance, traction and flexibility according to the needs of the race.
In the midfoot is the Torsion Efficiency Unit technology, which consists of a TPU reinforcement placed in the middle of the shoe that controls torsion, achieving greater stability when making contact with the ground, a very useful feature when running at high paces and starting to lose running technique.
TOC66 technology consists of a rubber construction of different densities for the outsole that favors a more natural flexion of the foot. The rubber increases its density in the most wear-prone areas for a shoe that will stand out for its durability.
The Salming Distance 4 is a lightweight edition that will allow you to run very fast, its new technologies offer better support to the runner's foot to achieve greater confidence during the race. With its low drop and its cushioning system, the sensations of the terrain remain without sacrificing comfort.
